Another Teen Convicted of Assault on Member of Blue Earth Football Team

Another southern Minnesota teen has been sentenced in the assault of a Blue Earth Area High School football player in 2017.
Nineteen-year-old Wyatt Tungland of Frost was convicted of felony assault Tuesday in Faribault County for holding down a teammate and assaulting him at a house party in Winnebago. The 16-year-old victim suffered serious injuries and a concussion.
Tungland was sentenced to four days in jail after spending nine days behind bars in October of 2017.
Two other teens pleaded guilty and received similar sentences. Tungland was also ordered to serve community service, anger management program, five years on probation and must pay a one-thousand-dollar fine and restitution to the victim's family.
