An autopsy has determined that a three-year-old Breckenridge boy died from blunt force trauma Tuesday.
The child was found not breathing at his Breckenridge home. The boy, who lived in the Park Manor apartments, was pronounced dead at the scene after Breckenridge police and Ambulance Services attempted CPR.
The cause of the blunt force trauma has not been determined, but investigators are working to answer that question. The child’s father and his girlfriend, who live at the same residence, have cooperated with investigators as they try to determine what happened.
No arrests have been made in the case. The child’s father was taken into custody on an unrelated arrest warrant. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting in the on-going death investigation.
