The Fergus Falls Fire Department’s Open House is going to be an event that you don’t want to miss, coming up next Monday. Assistant Fire Chief Dean Anderson said it was previously the Spaghetti Feed, but this year this year, for the first time there will be actual demonstrations…
“…This is something we've really never been able to do. It's been a long time since we've had just an open house. The spaghetti feed has been a wonderful event for us, but one thing it really didn't allow us to do, was to provide demonstrations to show what it is that we can do, what different techniques we have. So there's going to be two different demonstrations with that going on, two different water rescues two different times for that, and two different times for what we call the auto-out…”
Anderson says demonstrations take place every 20 minutes, along with station tours. The event is being held next Monday October 7th, from 5-7pm at the Fergus Falls Fire Station at 325 E Washington Avenue. The Open House is being held during Fire Prevention Week, being observed this year from October 6th through the 12th, in conjunction with October Fire Prevention Month.
