The city of Fergus Falls is asking for the public’s assistance as they start to clear snow left by recent storms in residential areas in town. After an incredible amount of snow was left protruding over and blocking street views on some city streets Public Works Director Len Taylor says the effort to clear the snow will be underway throughout the next few days…

Public Works Director Len Taylor AUDIO

“…Basically the same operation as what we do downtown typically after each snowfall. We will be going with a motor grader down the street pulling snow off of the boulevards into the street and then once that snow is on the street will take our big blower and blow that snow into trucks and haul it off to a dumping site…”

Taylor says it is very important to pay attention to signage that is put out indicating when your street will be plowed. If you leave your vehicle parked out on the street it will be towed at the resident’s expense. He says there will be no other warnings, other than the signage.
