Motorists on Interstate 94 between Evansville and Garfield will encounter intermittent lane closures starting Monday, June 26th, for a resurfacing and bridge project.
Crews will begin constructing temporary crossovers near the Highway 79 interchange, the Douglas County Road 7 interchange, and the Highway 114 interchange.
The crossover work is expected to last about three weeks. During that time, crews will reduce I-94 to a single lane of traffic in each direction where they are working.
The overall project includes resurfacing both directions of I-94 between Highway 79 and Highway 114.
The concrete resurfacing and bridge work is expected to begin in mid-July. The eastbound portion will be completed in 2017, and the westbound lanes will be completed in 2018.
