Otter Tail and Becker Counties are among the northwest Minnesota areas who will receive a total of over $2 Million to expand broadband through a state grant.
Projects in the current round of funding include the Long and Fish Lakes Project, served by Otter Tail Telcom, LLC, is granted $156,954 to serve 70 unserved households and 18 unserved businesses, telecommuters, and farms in the Elizabeth Township area of Otter Tail County.

Governor Tim Walz announced Tuesday that the state is awarding over 23 million dollars to 30 projects across Minnesota to expand broadband Internet access. Walz is also tossing around a 30-million-dollar one-time appropriation from the state’s budget surplus to supplement about 20 million dollars already scheduled for next year.
