Minnesotans are digging out from a spring snowstorm that dumped double-digit accumulations on the southern half of the state. The Minnesota State Patrol is reporting 630 crashes statewide since Friday, 69 with injury, three serious-injury crashes, and two fatalities, plus 11-hundred-82 spin-outs and 20 jack-knifed semis. Road conditions are improving throughout the state and flight schedules are starting to return to normal at the airports. Many schools in southern and central Minnesota are either cancelling classes today or starting two hours late. Several cities received more than 20 inches of heavy snow including Canby, Montevideo, Fridley and Maple Grove. This late snowstorm made this month the snowiest April on record at several locations including the Twin Cities.
