Multiple vandalisms and thefts have been reported in the area.
A resident in the 700 block of South Oak Street in Fergus Falls reported a broken window on a vehicle. The resident estimated that the rear driver’s side window was broken sometime between 10:30pm late Sunday evening and 8am Monday morning. The damage was determined to be around $500.
A theft was reported in the 500 block of Spruce Street on Monday at approximately 6:10pm. The resident reported that two vehicles had been burglarized sometime overnight Sunday. A suspect or suspects had entered both unlocked vehicles and took a flashlight, a spotlight, and approximately $20 in cash. Police say there are no suspects in that case.
At around 5 am, police were called to a report of five to six young people who were causing a disturbance at Robert Hannah Recreational Area, which is part of Riverside Park. Upon arrival an officer observed some young people running off into a wooded area to the east. Upon further observation, the officer also found a porta-potty that had been tipped over. The juveniles were not located.
Another report of vehicles that were rummaged through, came in about 6am Tuesday morning in the Sherman Street and East Vasa areas. Apparently at least three vehicles there were disturbed.
