The Walz administration is giving spring storm victims an extra week to file their Minnesota income tax returns.
Taxpayers in the 64 counties affected by rapid snow-melt flooding or this week's snowstorm that's hammered the state have until April 22nd to file.
The extension also applies to the Prairie Island Indian Community, Red Lake Band of Chippewa and Upper Sioux Community.
Department of Revenue officials emphasize the filing extension applies to state taxes only. It does include Minnesota business taxes.
