An 11-year-old Fergus Falls boy suffered a significant leg
injury when a car ran into the bicycle he was riding.
Police say the boy was riding eastbound on Cherry Avenue and failed to stop at a stop sign at Union Avenue. A car driven by 21-year-old Betty Bellet of Fergus Falls struck the bicycle shortly before 6:30 pm Monday.
The boy was taken by ambulance to Lake Region Hospital. His
condition is not available. Bellet was cited at the scene for having an expired
driver’s license and no insurance.
