A rural Deer Creek woman and a young child received minor injuries in a one vehicle roll-over just northeast of Deer Creek late Wednesday morning at the intersection of County Roads 143 and 52.
The 21 year old woman told Sheriff’s Deputies that she had swerved on an ice roadway surface to miss a deer which caused her vehicle to go into a roll and enter the south ditch.
The woman, as well as a two year old child were transported to Tri-County Health by Wadena Ambulance, with minor injuries.
The vehicle had to be towed from the scene, and the Deer Creek Woman was issued a citation for not having a proper child restraint system in the vehicle.
