Fergus Falls Police responded to a t-bone crash near the intersection of South Burlington Ave and Hamden Avenue in Fergus Falls on Sunday afternoon at approximately 1:45 involving an Otter Tail County Sheriff squad car.
Police say the squad car was travelling westbound on Hampden nearing Burlington when a vehicle, driven by 29 year old Susan Townsend of Fergus Falls was entering the intersection going southbound when her left front bumper struck the right front quarter panel section of the squad car.
While Townsend stated she hit her head in the crash, she was not transported by ambulance, but sought care at Lake Region Healthcare later on, while the Sheriff’s Deputy suffered no injuries. There was reportedly moderate damage to both vehicles.
Townsend was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way when approaching the intersection.
