The former director of a Twin Valley nursing home that closed citing financial reasons has been charged with the embezzlement of more than 25-thousand dollars.
54-year-old Shari Schreiner of Ulen is accused of writing herself bonus checks that were not approved by the Board of Directors of Twin Valley Living Center.
The complaint also says Schreiner claimed reimbursement for desks purchased for the nursing home that had already been paid for. Schreiner resigned in July of 2018 a couple of months before the closing of the nursing home was announced.
The nursing home hired an attorney to help with the investigation.
