A Mahnomen woman was injured Wednesday afternoon in a two vehicle accident on Highway 200. The State Patrol says just after 1:00pm a car was following a plow on Highway 200 at 230th, La Garde Twp, Mahnomen County, when a pickup pulled out of it's driveway in front of the car and was rear ended. The car's driver 35 year old Shalene Brown was transported to the Mahnomen Hospital with non life threatening injuries. The pick up driver was not injured.
Also Wednesday afternoon in Wilkin County on Highway 75, a car was headed southbound on Highway 75 behind a snow plow. Blowing snow caused a whiteout. The car drifted over the center line and struck an SUV head on. Both drivers, the car's driver 64 year old Charles Strand of Rothsay and the SUV driver, 58 year old Rhonda Tolbert of Breckenridge were each transported to St. Francis Hospital with non critical conditions. The accident happened just before 12:40pm Highway 75 in Brandrup Twp, Wilkin County.
