MDH Reports 731 New COVID-19 Cases on Saturday

Numbers released Saturday by the Minnesota Department of Health indicate 731 new COVID-19 cases bringing Minnesota’s Cumulative total to 55,188 positive cases of the Coronavirus in the state, out of 1,024,916 tests conducted. 6,319 are health care workers.
Of the 55,188 positive cases, 48,119 patients no longer need to be isolated.
5,208 cases have required hospitalization so far, and 317 of them are still hospitalized. 149 of the current hospitalized are in the ICU.
The Minnesota Department of Health reports 1,606 people have now died due to COVID-19 related complications.
Wilkin County has 27 cases, Otter Tail has 171 cases. Becker County has 138 cases. Douglas County has 126 cases. Grant County has 48 cases and Clay has 742 cases.
In North Dakota, Cass County has 2,917 cases, Richland County has 91 cases.
There are 6,602 total cases in North Dakota
The Minnesota Department of Health reminds the public that not all cases of COVID-19 are being tested. So these numbers do not represent the total number of people in Minnesota that have or had COVID-19. These numbers represent the number of cases that were tested.
