MDH Reports 769 New Cases of COVID-19 on Sunday

Numbers released Sunday by the Minnesota Department of Health indicate 769 new COVID-19 cases bringing Minnesota’s Cumulative total to 55,947 positive cases of the Coronavirus in the state, out of 1,054,962 tests conducted. 6,383 are health care workers.
Of the 55,188 positive cases, 48,847 patients no longer need to be isolated.
5,241 cases have required hospitalization so far, and 302 of them are still hospitalized. 149 of the current hospitalized are in the ICU.
The Minnesota Department of Health reports 1,614 people have now died due to COVID-19 related complications.
Wilkin County has 28 cases, Otter Tail has 175 cases. Becker County has 142 cases. Douglas County has 129 cases. Grant County has 49 cases and Clay has 743 cases.
In North Dakota, Cass County has 2,922 cases, Richland County has 92 cases.
There are 6,660 total cases in North Dakota
The Minnesota Department of Health reminds the public that not all cases of COVID-19 are being tested. So these numbers do not represent the total number of people in Minnesota that have or had COVID-19. These numbers represent the number of cases that were tested.
