MDH Reports 779 new COVID-19 Cases on Friday

Numbers released Friday by the Minnesota Department of Health indicate 779 new COVID-19 cases bringing Minnesota’s Cumulative total to 54,463 positive cases of the Coronavirus in the state, out of 1,024,916 tests conducted. 6,259 are health care workers.
Of the 54,463 positive cases, 47,289 patients no longer need to be isolated.
5,155 cases have required hospitalization so far, and 312 of them are still hospitalized. 151 of the current hospitalized are in the ICU.
The Minnesota Department of Health reports 1,600 people have now died due to COVID-19 related complications.
Wilkin County has 26 cases, Otter Tail has 164 cases. Becker County has 134 cases. Douglas County has 124 cases. Grant County has 44 cases and Clay has 740 cases.
In North Dakota, Cass County has 2,897 cases, Richland County has 87 cases.
There are 6,301 total cases in North Dakota
The Minnesota Department of Health reminds the public that not all cases of COVID-19 are being tested. So these numbers do not represent the total number of people in Minnesota that have or had COVID-19. These numbers represent the number of cases that were tested.
