MDH Reports 867 New COVID-19 Cases on Thursday

Numbers released Thursday by the Minnesota Department of Health indicate 867 new COVID-19 cases bringing Minnesota’s Cumulative total to 58,640 positive cases of the Coronavirus in the state, out of 1,105,194 tests conducted. 6,641 are health care workers.
Of the 58,640 positive cases, 51,604 patients no longer need to be isolated.
5,421 cases have required hospitalization so far, and 319 of them are still hospitalized. 153 of the current hospitalized are in the ICU.
The Minnesota Department of Health reports 1,636 people have now died due to COVID-19 related complications.
Wilkin County has 32 cases, Otter Tail has 185 cases. Becker County has 150 cases. Douglas County has 136 cases. Grant County has 52 cases and Clay has 758 cases.
In North Dakota, Cass County has 2,958 cases, Richland County has 101 cases.
There are 7,177 total cases in North Dakota
The Minnesota Department of Health reminds the public that not all cases of COVID-19 are being tested. So these numbers do not represent the total number of people in Minnesota that have or had COVID-19. These numbers represent the number of cases that were tested.
