(From MNN) -- The Minnesota Nurses Association is planning a protest at the State Capitol next week (5/20).
The M-N-A says members are marching over a lack of personal protective equipment, rising COVID-19 patient levels and the resumption of elective surgeries.
President Mary Turner says nurses at North Memorial were re-using N-95 masks and shields made for one-time use. She says members are demanding equipment, training, staffing and for the Minnesota Department of Health to enforce the highest standards of safety for patients and health care workers.
The nurses will practice social distancing next Wednesday's march.
