Minnesota Unemployment Rate Drops to 6 Percent in September

Minnesota’s unemployment rate dropped substantially in September to six percent.
The state's jobless rate was seven-point-four percent in August.
DEED Commissioner Steve Grove says the decline was caused in large part due to a dip in the state’s labor force participation rate.
Grove says about 56-thousand laid-off workers are no longer searching for jobs.
He says it’s too soon to tell if this trend will continue.
The state's labor force only lost about ten-thousand people between February and August.
