(MNN) PolyMet is appealing a state court of appeals ruling on its dam safety permit and permit to mine to the Minnesota Supreme Court.
The Minnesota Court of Appeals cancelled the permits for the proposed NorthMet copper-nickel mine project near Hoyt Lakes Monday.
The ruling sent the case back to the D-N-R for a hearing on the project's environmental risks.
Jobs for Minnesotans said in a statement, "We believe this project should move forward and the more than 10 years of extensive and thorough environmental review by state and federal agencies should be upheld."
