US Attorney MacDonald Warns of Fake Mask Exemption Cards

(MNN) U-S Attorney Erica MacDonald is warning Minnesotans to be on the lookout for fraudulent cards that claim the Americans with Disabilities Act exempts them from wearing masks. Printable cutouts of the cards have spread widely on social media, but MacDonald says the agency did not approve of its logo's use and the department does not endorse the cards.
A picture of the card says "wearing a face mask posses a mental and/or physical risk to me." C-D-C recommends wearing a facial covering to prevent the spread of COVID-19 when social distancing isn't possible.
Some retailers, businesses and schools require customers to wear face masks.
