(KDLM) - The CDC recently issued guidelines regarding activities that could be considered high-risk this Halloween due to COVID-19
Trick-or-treating was among the activities considered high-risk and now many Minnesota residents are worried there could be city or even state mandates against the activity this year.
The CDC recommends families avoid higher-risk activities, like trick-or-treating, trunk-or-treating, hayrides, going to a crowded indoor costume party or haunted houses.
Earlier this month Kris Ehresmann, Infectious Disease Director at the Minnesota Deparmtnet of Health indicated the State was looking into the possibility of banning Trick-or-Treating. "At this point, it would be premature for us to make any decisions simply because we have six to seven more weeks of disease transmission to monitor and that will inform us if things are getting better or getting worse."
says Minnesotans should expect to receive guidance for Halloween "a little
closer to the date."
